Short Biography:
- Dr. Nirmal B. Shah, DO., was born in Livingston, NJ at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and grew up in a small town west of New York City in Parsippany, NJ. After graduating from Parsippany Hills High School in 2007, he went on to attend Rutgers University, The State College of New Jersey, where he graduated with Magna Cum Laude with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology in 2011.
- With his passion in healthcare, he attended Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, formerly known as the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey or UMDNJ. He enjoyed providing care as a medical student in the operating room, whether it was on the anesthesia or surgical side of the curtain.
- He matched into Anesthesiology at the prestigious Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. The 4 years he spent in Anesthesia Training have served as his backbone for his perpetual passion for interventional pain management.
- He is currently an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellow at Cooper University Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper specializing in diagnosing, evaluating, and treating patients suffering from chronic pain.
