Short Biography:

  • Dr. Gandhi was born and raised in State College, PA. He attended Penn State for his undergraduate studies and LECOM for medical school, completing his clinical rotations in the Pittsburgh area. He then completed a residency in anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, and a fellowship in critical care medicine at Columbia University in New York City.
  • He lived and worked in New York City for 7 years, including several years at the James J Peters Bronx VA Medical Center, where he proudly cared for veterans undergoing surgical procedures. More recently, he finished a Pain Medicine fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital and has since returned to his Pennsylvania roots, joining PASS in fall 2018.
  • Dr. Gandhi focuses on a holistic approach to pain medicine, utilizing multiple modalities of treatment including physical therapy, spinal and joint injections, spinal cord stimulation, and many classes of medications to help his patients improve their quality of life. He is board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
  • Dr. Gandhi is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan and lives in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife, Shelley and his two children, Sameer and Maya.
