Short Biography:

  • Dr. Paul K. Cheng is a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain medicine physician. After completing medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Dr. Cheng went on to do anesthesiology residency training at the University of Chicago, where he first got introduced to and developed his passion for practicing pain medicine. Thereafter, he completed his pain medicine fellowship at UC Davis Medical Center.
  • Dr. Cheng’s interests involve interventional techniques for pain management including neuromodulation and advanced surgical procedures. He additionally has a passion for medical education and mentorship. When not working at Comprehensive Spine and Sports Center, Dr. Cheng serves as a volunteer clinical faculty member at the UC Davis Medical Center in the division of pain medicine within the department of anesthesiology, where he teaches the fundamental principles of pain medicine to physicians-in-training, including pain fellows and anesthesiology residents and primary care physicians in the community. He has also authored multiple research papers, book chapters, and research presentations in the field of pain management.
