Short Biography:
- Dr. Safwan Zar, MD., is currently a Resident in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Montefiore – Burke Rehabilitation Hospital. He initially started at Eastern Virginia Medical School prior to transferring closer to home. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!). He is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his preliminary internal medicine training at a Yale affiliated hospital, Griffin Hospital, in Derby, Connecticut.
- He wishes to pursue fellowship training in Pain Medicine. His specific interests include CRPS with research through Yale-VA neurology department, cancer pain, musculoskeletal medicine, and spine care.
